Minor ruleset adjustments
Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the demo or picked up a copy of Perimeter Breach Detected so far!
While I receive feedback on the game, I'm going to keep a record of any minor adjustments to the ruleset that I'll implement in a v1.1 release. If you've got any thoughts and comments on the game, feel free to drop a comment and get in touch to let me know!
So far the planned changes are as follows. Feel free to use these adjustments now in your game.
- Feature: Psychic (page 9): the foresight action is a standard, rather than intense action.
- Item: Body Armour (page 17): this item negates 1 damage per round, rather than reducing all damage taken by 1.
- Monster: The Hive (page 21): the second action is adjusted: if a hiveling is adjacent to a room with outsiders and it is barricaded, they smash the barricade as in the fourth action. If the way is open, they leap in as normal, favouring the weakest outsider. The cap on how many hivelings can leap into a single room is increased to 4, rather than 2.
In general I'm going to review the monster behaviour preference for open routes as this is appearing vulnerable to kiting, so there may be a further adjustment to this behaviour.
I'm also going to consider a variant rule where the facilitator determines what every room is in advance of play, so there is less rolling back and forth in-game.
Remember to rate the game and spread the word!
-Nathaniel
